If you care about the environment you can rest easy when using GPS. We are dedicated to ensuring that care of the
environment is a priority in all aspects of our operations. As part of our commitment to be an environmentally responsible
company we want to keep you up to date with various initiatives that contribute to GPS's green credentials through
think, GPS's environmental bulletin.
Furthermore, GPS has recently become both FSC and PEFC accredited
in addition to being Ireland's first
carbon neutral printing company.
GPS is committed to making available a choice of
recycled and FSC or PEFC certified
materials, originating from sources certified to be well-managed
or operating accredited management systems. All our set-up and wastepaper is recycled. We also recycle our used plates and dispose
of our chemicals responsibly. Our processes and procedures are continually being reviewed to ensure that we are working as efficiently
as possible.
These developments have led to GPS being named as the Irish Print Awards "Environmental
Printer of the Year" each year since the award's inception in 2005 and the recent announcement
that we are the UTV/Business Eye "Green Company of the Year 2008".
As a print buyer your choices affect our environment. When choosing a print company or writing a print specification there are the
usual concerns about quality, price and the level of back up you get from your supplier. You might also want to consider the environmental
aspects of the product and the lifecycle of that product.
